The beach is located in the state of Jalisco, on the Mexican Pacific coast, and is accessible from several important points.

By Plane

The nearest airport is the Manzanillo International Airport (ZLO), also known as Playa de Oro Airport, located approximately 35-45 minutes by car from Playa Melaque. Once at the airport, you can choose from:

• Taxis: Taxi service is available directly at the airport. It's a comfortable option, though a bit more expensive.
• Private or Shared Transportation: Several companies offer pre-booked transportation services that can be more economical if you're traveling in a group or want a guaranteed service.
• Car Rental: We often prefer this option if we plan to explore the surrounding area. It gives you the freedom to move at your own pace. There are several car rental agencies at the airport.

By Bus

If you're coming from larger cities in Mexico like Guadalajara, Puerto Vallarta, or Mexico City, the bus is an excellent option. There are first-class bus lines that arrive at the Melaque terminal or the nearby Barra de Navidad. It's an economical and safe way to travel through the country, and it allows us to enjoy the scenery along the way.

By Car

For those who enjoy road trips, arriving by car to Playa Melaque is a rewarding experience. The roads connecting to the Jalisco coast are usually in good condition. If you're coming from Guadalajara, the journey takes approximately 4-5 hours, depending on traffic. From Manzanillo, the trip is short and direct. We always advise using updated navigation apps and paying attention to road signs.

Although it's not a primary destination for deep snorkeling, the visibility is sufficient to enjoy a refreshing and safe dip. For us, the peace this sea conveys is unmatched.
