It receives domestic and international flights, though less frequently than Puerto Vallarta. • Puerto Vallarta International Airport (PVR): Although it is farther, about 3.5 to 4 hours by car, Puerto Vallarta is a much larger airport with a greater offer of flights from various parts of the world. This can mean more competitive airfares and more schedule options. The highway from Puerto Vallarta to Careyes is scenic, winding along the coast and through small towns, offering a first glimpse of the natural beauty of Jalisco.
