How to Get to Playa de Sidi Ifni

Getting to Playa de Sidi Ifni is relatively straightforward, although it requires a bit of planning, as the city is located in a more remote area of the Moroccan coast. Generally, the starting point for most travelers is Agadir, a larger city with an international airport.

From Agadir

• By car: The most comfortable and flexible option is to rent a car. From Agadir, we take the national road N1 heading south. The journey is approximately 160 kilometers and usually takes about 2.5 to 3 hours, depending on traffic and stops. The road is in good condition and offers interesting landscapes as we approach the Sidi Ifni coast.
• By bus: There are regular bus services from the Agadir bus station to Sidi Ifni. Companies like CTM or Supratours offer routes that can take between 3 and 4 hours. It's an economical option that allows us to relax while enjoying the scenery. Once at the Sidi Ifni station, the beach is within walking distance or a short taxi ride away.

From Tiznit

• If we're coming from Tiznit, the city of silver, the trip is much shorter, just 60 kilometers southwest on the N1. It's a journey of approximately one hour by car or shared taxi ('grand taxi').

Within Sidi Ifni

• Once in the city of Sidi Ifni, the main beach is easily accessible. We can walk from most accommodations in the center, or take a small taxi ('petit taxi') if we prefer not to walk or have a lot of luggage. Access to the Playa de Sidi Ifni is well signposted.

• Parking: Around the beach, especially near the main access areas, we will find designated areas to park our vehicles. Although they are not always supervised parking lots, they are usually sufficient for the flow of visitors. It's advisable to arrive early in the high season to secure a good spot.
• Chiringuitos and Cafeterias: Along the beach and on the adjacent promenade, there are several chiringuitos and cafeterias where we can enjoy refreshing drinks, snacks, and simple local dishes. They are perfect for taking a break, sheltering from the sun, and savoring Moroccan cuisine with sea views. These establishments usually also offer basic services like tables and chairs.
