How to Get to Playa de Fomm ir-Riħ

The route generally begins by driving west from Mġarr, towards the rural areas near Bahrija or Ras id-Dawwara. We always recommend using GPS and searching for 'Fomm ir-Riħ' or 'Fomm ir-Riħ Bay' to get to the trailhead. The road narrows and becomes more rural as you get closer, passing through cultivated fields and small farms.

The depth increases gradually, but it is important to be cautious, especially on days with rougher seas, as there are no `Lifeguards` on this beach.

It is a place where we feel truly connected to the Mediterranean, observing small fish swimming among the rocks and, hopefully, a starfish or even a hidden octopus.
