Walking

For the more adventurous and those who enjoy a good walk, it's possible to reach Nimborio on foot. From Gialos or Pedi, the walk is approximately one hour. It's a beautiful stroll, offering spectacular panoramic views of the island and the sea. However, we warn you that it can be demanding under the summer sun, so make sure to bring enough water, sun protection, and suitable footwear. It's a route we recommend for those who wish to explore the more natural side of Symi.

Private Vehicle or Scooter

Although road access is not as direct as to other beaches, it's possible to reach by scooter or car, although the last stretch can be a bit more complicated with less parking space. It's always a good idea to ask locals about road conditions before venturing out. We prefer the maritime or walking options for this particular beach, as they are part of its charm.

The Beach and the Water

Playa de Nimborio is distinguished by its particular composition. Here you won't find classic fine golden sand; instead, you'll encounter a beach of medium to coarse pebbles, mixed with some coarse sand. This characteristic gives it a very natural and rustic appearance. We recommend bringing suitable water footwear, like aqua shoes, as they will make entering and exiting the sea easier and make your experience much more comfortable.

The main service point in Nimborio is a local taverna (often referred to as Manos Taverna or similar, depending on the season). This is a true lifesaver and a charming place to spend some time. At the taverna, we can enjoy:

• Chiringuitos/Restaurant: They offer a delicious selection of traditional Greek dishes, fresh fish of the day, salads, and refreshing drinks. It's the perfect place for lunch or a snack while enjoying sea views.
