How to Get to Playa de Zogeria

Getting to Playa de Zogeria is part of the adventure and allows us to appreciate the scenic beauty of Spetses. First, we must reach the island of Spetses. From the port of Piraeus in Athens, we have several ferry and 'Flying Dolphin' (hydrofoil) options that connect us to Spetses in approximately 2 to 3 hours, depending on the type of vessel. Once at the main port of Spetses, known as Dapia, the journey to Zogeria becomes a pleasant ride.

Water Taxi

For a quick and picturesque experience, we can opt for a water taxi from the port. It's a comfortable and fun way to get there, offering us spectacular views of the island's coast from the sea. Water taxis are frequent and will drop us off directly on the shore of Playa de Zogeria.

Local Bus

There is a local bus service that runs along the coastal road of Spetses, connecting Dapia with several beaches, including Zogeria. It's an economical option and allows us to enjoy the scenery during the journey. Schedules are usually reliable, especially during the high season.

Motorbike or Quad

For those who prefer the freedom to explore at their own pace, renting a motorbike or a quad in Spetses Town is an excellent option. The road leading to Zogeria is paved and offers a scenic route through pine forests and with sea views. There is a parking area, though unpaved, near the beach where we can leave our vehicle.

Bicycle

Spetses is a relatively flat island, making it ideal for exploring by bicycle. The path to Zogeria is pleasant, though with some gentle inclines. It's an ecological and healthy way to get there, allowing us to stop wherever we wish to admire the views. The journey from Dapia can take between 30 and 45 minutes by bicycle, offering us total immersion in the island's nature.

Furthermore, the water quality is exceptional, reflected in the vibrant marine life we can observe while snorkeling. Small colorful fish, starfish, and occasionally an anemone inhabit these pristine waters, offering us a small underwater spectacle.
