How to Get to Playa de Perivoliou

Getting to Playa de Perivoliou is part of the adventure, and although it's not the most direct access, the visual reward that awaits us justifies every kilometer. This gem is located on the northeast coast of Skopelos, about 10-12 kilometers from the capital, Skopelos Chora. We recommend renting a car or a motorbike, as public transport to this area is limited or non-existent, and having your own vehicle will give you the freedom to explore at your own pace.

Route from Skopelos Chora

From Skopelos Chora, the route is relatively straightforward. You should take the main road heading north, towards Glossa and Loutraki. You'll pass through green landscapes and olive groves, and after about 10 kilometers, you'll see a sign, often small or easy to miss, indicating the turn-off to Playa de Perivoliou. It's crucial to be attentive, as signage in some parts of the island can be somewhat discreet. Once you take the turn-off, the road becomes narrower and more winding, descending towards the coast.

The Last Stretch and Parking

The last stretch of the road before reaching the beach is unpaved and can be a bit rough, so we advise driving with caution. At the end of this path, you'll find an improvised and free parking area, usually in the shade of the trees. From there, you'll need to descend on foot via a stepped path, carved into the rock.
