How to Get to Playa de Pefkos

Getting to Playa de Pefkos is relatively straightforward, which contributes to its popularity. The island of Rhodes has Rhodes International Airport 'Diagoras' (RHO), which receives direct flights from numerous European cities, especially during the high season. Once at the airport, which is about 55-60 kilometers from Pefkos, we have several options to reach our destination.

From Rhodes Airport

• Car rental: For us, this is often the most recommended option, as it gives us the freedom to explore the island at our own pace. The journey from the airport to Pefkos takes about an hour, following the coastal road that offers spectacular views. There are numerous car rental agencies at the airport and in the city of Rhodes.
• Taxi: Taxis are available at the airport exit and offer a direct and comfortable service to Pefkos. The cost can be a bit high, but it is an excellent option if we are traveling with a lot of luggage or in a group.
• Bus: There is a public bus service connecting the airport with the city of Rhodes, and from there, we can take another bus to Pefkos. This is the most economical option, although it requires a transfer and a bit more time. The buses are reliable and offer a good way to see the local landscape.
