How to Get to Playa de Alonaki Fanariou

Getting to Playa de Alonaki Fanariou is part of the adventure and, fortunately, it is quite accessible, although it requires your own vehicle or a taxi, as public transport does not go directly there. We always advise renting a car to explore the Epirus region, and this beach is an excellent reason to do so.

From Preveza City

If we start from the city of Preveza, the journey to Playa de Alonaki Fanariou is approximately 30-40 kilometers, which translates to about 45 minutes to an hour by car. The route is simple and takes us along scenic coastal roads offering spectacular views of the Ionian Sea. We will need to head south on the EO18 road and then take signposted turn-offs towards the Fanari area.

From Aktion Airport (PVK)

The nearest airport is Aktion National Airport (PVK), which is about 30 kilometers from Preveza. From there, we can rent a car directly and drive to the beach. The journey from the airport is even more direct and faster, approximately 30-40 minutes.

Directions and Parking

Once we approach the Fanari area, we will find signs for 'Alonaki Beach'. The final road is a bit narrow and winding, descending towards the cove. There is an informal parking area right above the beach where we can leave the car. It's important to arrive early in the high season to secure a good spot, as space is limited. The path down to the sand is short and easy, making it comfortable for most visitors.

The Sand and Water
