How to Get to Kolymbithres Beach

Getting to Kolymbithres Beach is part of the adventure, and fortunately, there are several options to access this paradise corner of Paros. Its privileged location in Naoussa Bay facilitates access from the island's main centers.

By Car or Motorbike

For us, a car or motorbike are usually the most comfortable options, as they give us the freedom to explore Paros at our own pace. From Naoussa, the journey is very short, just 5-10 minutes driving along a well-signposted road. From Parikia, the island's capital, the trip is a bit longer, approximately 15-20 minutes, but just as straightforward. Upon arriving at Kolymbithres, you will find a designated parking area, although in high season (July and August) it can fill up quickly, so we recommend arriving early to secure a good spot. The route is scenic, with impressive views of the coast and sea, which already prepares us for the beauty that awaits.

By Public Bus

For those who prefer not to drive, Paros's bus system is surprisingly efficient and economical. There are regular connections from Parikia and Naoussa to Kolymbithres. The buses are modern and air-conditioned, making the journey very pleasant. The bus stop is a short walk from the main coves, so it is a very viable option, especially if you plan to spend the whole day at the beach without worrying about parking.

By Water Taxi from Naoussa

One of the most charming and picturesque ways to get to Kolymbithres is by taking a water taxi or a small boat from the port of Naoussa. These boats depart frequently during the day and offer spectacular views of the bay and coast from the sea. It is an experience in itself, allowing us to appreciate the area's geography from a different perspective and arrive directly at the beach coves. It is an excellent option to avoid traffic and parking in the busiest months, and it's also a fun way to start the beach day.

We encounter incredibly crystal-clear waters, so transparent that we can see the seabed with total clarity, even at some depth. They are waters of an intense turquoise hue that blends with the deep blue of the Aegean, creating a fascinating color palette. What we like most is their tranquility. Being sheltered in Naoussa Bay, the coves of Kolymbithres are protected from the Meltemi winds, which often blow strongly in the Cyclades during summer. This means the waves are minimal or non-existent, making it a perfect natural pool for swimming, floating, and enjoying a worry-free swim. The shallow depth near the shore makes it especially safe and attractive for children and for those who prefer shallow waters to cool off.
