How to get to Playa de Lygaria
Getting to Playa de Lygaria is relatively straightforward, given its proximity to the city of Heraklion. We always recommend renting a car for total freedom to explore not only the beach but also the charming surroundings. From Heraklion, the journey takes approximately 20-25 minutes by car, following the coastal road west towards Agia Pelagia. There is clear signage that will guide us to the beach.

As mentioned, the car is the most comfortable option. From the centre of Heraklion, we take the E75 motorway heading west.
