How to Get to Playa de Kourenti

The beach is located in a less developed area of the island, so the use of a private vehicle is practically essential. From Chalkida, we recommend taking the main road south, towards Aliveri. Aliveri is a larger town where we can stock up on necessities before undertaking the final stretch. From Aliveri, signs towards the small coastal villages will guide us along secondary roads, sometimes winding, but always rewarded with spectacular views. The last stretch may be on a dirt road, but don't worry, it is passable and part of the charm of discovering such a special place. Don't expect big illuminated signs; Playa de Kourenti reveals itself little by little, like a well-kept secret that only the most dedicated explorers manage to unveil. We advise you to carry an offline map or use a GPS, as mobile coverage can be intermittent in some rural areas.
