We always recommend considering renting a car to explore the area with complete freedom, although there are also public transport alternatives connecting Siviri with the main cities and towns in the region.

From Thessaloniki Airport (SKG)

Thessaloniki 'Macedonia' International Airport (SKG) is the main gateway to Chalkidiki. Once there, we have several options:

• Rental car: This is, without a doubt, the most comfortable and flexible option. The journey from the airport to Siviri is approximately 85-90 kilometers and usually takes about an hour and a quarter to an hour and a half, depending on traffic. The route is simple, mainly via highway and well-signposted roads. Driving through Chalkidiki allows us to discover hidden coves and charming villages at our own pace.
• Taxi or private transfer: For those who prefer not to drive, a taxi or private transfer service can be a good alternative. The price is usually higher, but it offers the convenience of a direct, worry-free journey right to the door of our accommodation.

By Bus (KTEL Halkidikis)

The KTEL Halkidikis bus company offers regular services from the central bus station in Thessaloniki to Kassandria, the administrative center of Kassandra, and from there, there are connections to Siviri. Although it is a more economical option, it requires more time and may involve transfers. It is a good alternative if we are not in a hurry and want to experience local transport.

By Car from Thessaloniki

If we are already in Thessaloniki, the drive is direct. We take the road towards Chalkidiki (A25) and follow the signs to Kassandra. Once on the peninsula, the signage to Siviri is clear. The journey is pleasant, with landscapes changing from urban to rural and coastal, offering us a first glimpse of the region's beauty.
