How to Get to Chalikiada Beach

Angistri, the island that hosts it, is easily accessible from the port of Piraeus in Athens, with ferries and Flying Dolphins that connect regularly and quickly (about 55 minutes by Flying Dolphin or 1 hour and 45 minutes by conventional ferry). Once on Angistri, usually at the port of Skala or Milos (Megalochori), the next step is to get closer to the beach. To reach Chalikiada, we recommend renting a scooter, a bicycle, or even going on foot if you enjoy walking, as the final stretch is inaccessible to vehicles.

From Skala or Milos, head towards Limenaria, a small village in the south of the island. Before reaching Limenaria, or shortly after, following the coastal road east, you will find signs, or simply a point where the road ends abruptly near a cliff. This is where the adventure on foot begins. Do not expect a paved path or a trail marked in great detail; part of Chalikiada's charm is its untamed nature. You will need to look for a relatively narrow and steep trail that descends the cliff. This path, although short, requires some agility and proper footwear, as it can be slippery in some sections due to rocks and loose earth. We advise wearing closed, comfortable shoes, not sandals, to ensure safety.

The descent can take between 10 and 15 minutes, depending on your pace and the care you take while descending.
