How to get to Playa de Sant Salvador

Getting to Playa de Sant Salvador is relatively easy, given its excellent location and the area's good connections. We always recommend planning the trip to make the most of it from the very first moment. Here we detail the best options:

By car

If we come by car, Playa de Sant Salvador is very accessible from the main communication routes. From Barcelona or Valencia, we can take the AP-7 motorway and then turn off onto the C-32 (Pau Casals Motorway) towards El Vendrell. The exits are well signposted and will guide us directly to the coastal area. Once in El Vendrell, access to Sant Salvador is direct, following the signs to the beach or the promenade. As for parking, there are several public parking areas, both paid and free (although the latter tend to fill up quickly in high season), as well as regulated parking on the streets adjacent to the promenade. We usually look for parking on nearby streets or in designated parking lots for greater comfort, especially if we have a lot of luggage or are with children.

By public transport

For those who prefer public transport, the most comfortable option is the train. The R2 Sud line of Rodalies de Catalunya connects us to Sant Vicenç de Calders station, which is a short distance from El Vendrell. From there, we can take a local bus that will drop us off directly in the Playa de Sant Salvador area or a taxi. There are also intercity bus lines connecting El Vendrell with other nearby towns and the capital, Tarragona. The frequency of these services is usually good, especially during the summer months, which greatly facilitates travel without the need for a car.
