How to Get to Playa de l'Alguer

Getting to Playa de l'Alguer is, for us, part of its charm. Its privileged location, right in the heart of L'Ametlla de Mar, makes access very easy and a very convenient option for all visitors. If we come by car, the AP-7 motorway and the N-340 road are our main access routes. We will take the exit towards L'Ametlla de Mar and, once in the town, we will find clear signage that will guide us directly to the beach. The good news is that, being an urban beach, we have nearby parking options, both on adjacent streets and in public car parks, although in high season it is advisable to arrive early to secure a good spot.

For those who prefer public transport, L'Ametlla de Mar has a Rodalies de Catalunya train station, connecting the town with Tarragona, Barcelona, and other coastal towns. Once at the station, Playa de l'Alguer is a distance we can cover on foot in a few minutes, enjoying a pleasant walk through the port and the town center. In addition, the municipality has a local bus service that, especially in summer, can bring us even closer to the beach area. For us, the best way to immerse ourselves in the local atmosphere is to walk from the center, admiring the fishermen's houses and the bustle of the port, until we reach the soft sand of l'Alguer.

Furthermore, full accessibility is a reality at l'Alguer. It has wooden walkways that facilitate access to the sand for people with reduced mobility, as well as adapted ramps. This seems fundamental to us so that everyone, without exception, can enjoy this wonderful environment.
