How to Get to Playa de Coma-ruga

Getting to Playa de Coma-ruga is surprisingly simple, given its excellent location and the good transport connections surrounding it. This makes it an accessible destination both for those coming from nearby and for those traveling from farther away. We always value ease of access, especially when traveling with family or with the intention of carrying little luggage and enjoying to the maximum from the first moment.

By Car

If we choose the car, Playa de Coma-ruga is perfectly connected via the AP-7 (Mediterranean motorway) and the N-340 (national road). From Barcelona, the journey takes approximately one hour, while from Tarragona city, it will take us just 30-40 minutes. The most convenient exit from the AP-7 is usually the one for El Vendrell. Once in the municipality, the signage towards the coast and Coma-ruga is clear and will guide us directly. Regarding parking, being an urban beach, we will find several paid parking zones and some regulated parking areas, especially during the high season. Our recommendation is to arrive early to secure a good spot, or consider accommodations that offer their own parking.

By Train

For those who prefer public transport, the Sant Vicenç de Calders train station, which belongs to the Rodalies de Catalunya network (lines R2 Sud and R4), is a short distance from Coma-ruga. From there, we can take a local bus or a taxi that will take us directly to the beach in a few minutes. It's a comfortable and ecological option, allowing us to forget about traffic and parking, and simply enjoy the scenery during the journey.

By Bus

Several bus lines connect El Vendrell and nearby towns with Playa de Coma-ruga, offering a flexible alternative for getting around the area. During the summer months, the frequency of these services usually increases, making travel even easier. It's a good option if we are staying in neighboring municipalities and want to explore different beaches of the Costa Dorada.

By Plane

If our starting point is farther away, the nearest airports are Reus Airport (REU), about 35 kilometers away, and Barcelona-El Prat Airport (BCN), about 60 kilometers away. Both airports offer connections with various European and international cities. From Reus or Barcelona, we can rent a car, take a train, or a bus to reach Playa de Coma-ruga. The combination of plane and train/car is very efficient and allows us to comfortably reach our beach destination.
