How to Get to Playa de Loureiro

Getting to Playa de Loureiro is relatively straightforward, although we must consider that access is more oriented towards private vehicles due to its location somewhat removed from the urban center of Bueu. If we're coming from Pontevedra, the most common route is to take the AP-9 motorway towards Vigo and then turn off towards the Morrazo region via the PO-551 road, which will take us directly to Bueu. Once in the municipality, we follow the signs towards the southern coast, in the direction of the Cela or Beluso area, where this beautiful cove is located.

Access and Parking

Access to the beach is via a small turn-off from the main road. Although it doesn't have a large designated parking lot, there are usually some parking spaces available nearby, especially in the upper part of the cove or on the shoulders of the nearby roads. During the summer months, and especially on weekends, these spaces can be limited, so we recommend arriving early to secure a good spot. It's an ideal beach for those who prefer the convenience of having their car nearby, while always respecting the signage and natural environment. It's also possible to arrive by bicycle from Bueu, enjoying a pleasant coastal ride.

The Sand and Water

One of the aspects that most captivates us about Playa de Loureiro is, without a doubt, the quality of its sand and the clarity of its waters. We find fine sand, of a golden hue that shines under the Galician sun. It's soft, pleasant-to-the-touch sand, perfect for walking barefoot, building sandcastles with children, or simply lying down and feeling its warmth. The absence of large rocks or pebbles in the bathing area makes entering the sea very comfortable and safe, especially for the little ones.

The waters of Loureiro are famous for their calm and clarity. Being sheltered by the coastal relief, the beach benefits from gentle currents and minimal waves, making it a natural swimming pool. We are always surprised by the greenish and bluish tones of its waters, which invite us to immerse ourselves and enjoy a refreshing swim. The water temperature, typical of the Rías Baixas, is cool but very pleasant in the summer months, offering perfect relief on the hottest days. It's a true pleasure to swim in this setting, where the tranquility of the sea envelops us and allows us to forget the stress of everyday life.
