How to get to Playa de Canelas

Getting to Playa de Canelas is relatively easy, making it a very accessible destination for any type of traveler. If you're coming by car, which is the most comfortable option for exploring the O Grove area and its surroundings, you'll find several well-signposted routes. From the AP-9, the Atlantic highway, you must take the exit towards Sanxenxo/O Grove and follow the signs to O Grove. Once in the municipality, Playa de Canelas is a short distance from the urban center, and access is usually well indicated.

For those who prefer public transport, there are bus lines connecting O Grove with other important towns in Galicia, such as Pontevedra or Santiago de Compostela. Once in O Grove, the beach is accessible on foot from the center if you feel like a walk, or you can take a local taxi. We always recommend having your own or a rental vehicle to fully enjoy the freedom of exploring every cove and corner of this wonderful peninsula. Furthermore, the beach has nearby parking areas, both free and paid during high season, which makes arrival much easier if you come by car.
