How to Get to Playa de Baltar

By Car

From Pontevedra, the most direct route is to take the PO-308 road towards Sanxenxo. Once in Sanxenxo, just follow the signs to Portonovo. The beach has nearby parking areas, although they can fill up quickly during high season, so it's advisable to arrive early. We always recommend looking for parking on the adjacent streets or in the underground parking at Portonovo harbor, which usually has more availability.

Public Transport

Several bus lines operated by Monbús connect Pontevedra and other nearby towns with Sanxenxo and Portonovo. The Portonovo bus stop is just a few minutes' walk from Playa de Baltar, making it very convenient for those who prefer not to drive.

On Foot

If you're staying in Sanxenxo, you can enjoy a pleasant walk along the promenade that connects the famous Playa de Silgar with Baltar, passing by Portonovo harbor. It's a beautiful walk, especially at sunset, which we highly recommend to appreciate the beauty of the coast.
