How to Get to Playa de Los Monteros

Getting to Playa de Los Monteros is relatively straightforward, although its location in a high-end residential area means it's not always as direct as urban beaches. For us, the most comfortable option is usually by car. From the center of Marbella, we head east on the A-7 (formerly N-340) towards Malaga. We'll take the Los Monteros exit, and once inside the urbanization, we'll follow the signs to the beach. It's important to know that parking can be a bit more challenging during high season, as it's a residential area with limited street parking near the beach access points. However, with a little patience, we always find a spot or, alternatively, some of the chiringuitos and hotels in the area offer parking for their clients.

If we prefer public transport, there are intercity bus lines connecting Marbella with the eastern areas, and some of them have stops relatively close to the beach access points. Nevertheless, for greater comfort and flexibility, especially if we have luggage or are with children, the car remains the best alternative. We can also opt for a taxi or ride-hailing service from Marbella, which will drop us off directly at one of the access points to this coastal paradise.

The Sand and Water

We are faced with a beach of fine, golden sand, a delight for the feet and perfect for laying out a towel and enjoying the sun. • Lifeguard Service: During the high season, the beach has lifeguard and surveillance services, providing us with additional peace of mind when enjoying a swim, especially if we're with children.
• Sunshades and Sun Loungers: For those who prefer not to carry their own equipment, there are rental points for sunshades and sun loungers, allowing us to relax comfortably under the Mediterranean sun.
