How to Get to Playa de Carvajal

Getting to Playa de Carvajal is relatively easy, making it even more attractive for visitors of all ages. We always value easy access, and in this case, we can say it's very well connected, whether you come by car, public transport, or even on foot from the nearby areas of Fuengirola or Benalmadena.

By Car

If we choose to drive, the A-7 motorway (or AP-7) is our best ally. We should take the Carvajal exit, which will lead us directly to the beach area. Along the promenade and adjacent streets, we'll find various parking options, although in high season it can be a bit more difficult to find a spot, especially right by the beach. There are paid car parks and on-street parking areas, so we always recommend arriving early to secure a good spot.

By Public Transport

Public transport is an excellent alternative, especially if we want to avoid the parking search. The Renfe C1 Cercanías (commuter) train line is, for us, the most comfortable and efficient option. Carvajal station is just a few meters from the beach, which means we can get off the train and, in just a few minutes, be stepping onto the sand. This line connects Malaga city, the airport, and several coastal towns, including Fuengirola and Benalmadena, making Playa de Carvajal accessible to practically any visitor to the province. Furthermore, several intercity bus lines also have stops nearby.

The Sand and Water

One of the aspects that most captivates us about Playa de Carvajal is, without a doubt, the quality of its sand and the clarity of its waters. Here, the sand is a soft golden color with a fine texture, very pleasant to the touch and perfect for building sandcastles with the little ones or simply for lying down comfortably to sunbathe.
