How to Get to Playa de la Ensenada

Getting to Playa de la Ensenada is surprisingly simple, given that it's located right in the heart of Arrecife. Its privileged location makes access easy from any point in the capital or the island. If we come by car, we can head towards the marina area or Avenida de Naos, where we'll find various parking options, some of them free on the surrounding streets, although in high season or peak hours it might be a bit more difficult to find a spot right next to the beach. However, being an urban area, there are always alternatives a short distance away.

For those who prefer public transport, Arrecife has an excellent network of urban and intercity buses connecting the capital with the rest of the island. Several lines have stops near the center or the port, leaving us just a short and pleasant walk from Playa de la Ensenada. If we're staying in Arrecife, we can even walk from most central hotels, enjoying a pleasant stroll along the promenade or the commercial streets. Accessibility is, without a doubt, one of its great advantages, allowing us to enjoy it without complications.

The Sand and Water

One of the aspects that most captivates us about Playa de la Ensenada is, without a doubt, the quality of its sand and the serenity of its waters. We're looking at a beach with fine, golden sand, incredibly soft to the touch, inviting us to lay out a towel and immerse ourselves in a book or simply relax under the Lanzarote sun. The texture of the sand is perfect for the little ones, who can play and build sandcastles without worrying about rocks or pebbles.

As for the water, it's simply spectacular. Its turquoise hues and transparency invite us for an immediate swim. The most notable feature, however, is its incredible calmness. Being protected within Arrecife Bay, waves are practically non-existent, making it an ideal natural pool for swimming in complete tranquility.
