Our recommendation is to arrive early to secure a good spot or consider using the public car parks a bit further away and take a pleasant walk.

For those who prefer public transport, Roses has bus lines connecting with other towns in the province of Girona, such as Figueres (where the nearest train station is) and Girona itself. Once in Roses, the beach is accessible on foot from many of the accommodations and the city center, or you can use the local urban bus service that runs through the town.

We consider the best time to visit if your main goal is swimming and sun, is between June and September. During these months, temperatures are warm, the water is at its ideal point and all beach services are operating at full capacity. However, keep in mind that July and August are the busiest months, so the beach will be more crowded.

If you prefer tranquility and enjoy relaxed walks without crowds, but with pleasant weather, spring (April-May) and autumn (September-October) are excellent options. Temperatures are usually mild, perfect for exploring the area, hiking or simply enjoying the peace of the beach. Although the water may be a bit cooler, sunny days are common and the beauty of the surroundings is undeniable.
