For those coming by car, the best route from Girona is to take the C-65 towards Sant Feliu de Guíxols/Palamós and then the C-31 towards Palafrugell. Once in Palafrugell, the signs to Calella de Palafrugell are clear. From Barcelona, the AP-7 is the fastest option, turning off onto the C-35 and then the C-31.

Parking

Parking in Calella can be a challenge, especially in the summer months. There are paid parking zones (blue zone) on nearby streets and some public underground car parks. Our recommendation is to arrive early in the morning to secure a good spot, or opt to park on the outskirts of the town and take a pleasant walk to the beach. There are also public transport options. From Palafrugell, there are regular buses connecting to Calella de Palafrugell, which can be an excellent alternative to avoid the stress of driving and parking. The nearest train station is Flaçà, from where you can take a bus to Palafrugell and then another to Calella. The walk from the town center to Playa de Port Bo is short and charming, allowing us to already immerse ourselves in the local atmosphere before stepping onto the sand.
