How to get to Cala Mundina

Getting to Cala Mundina is relatively straightforward, making it a very accessible option for any type of traveler. It's located in the southern area of Alcossebre, a coastal town belonging to Alcalà de Xivert.

By car

If you're traveling by car, which is the most comfortable option for exploring the area, Cala Mundina is well signposted from Alcossebre. From the N-340 highway or the AP-7 motorway, take the exit towards Alcossebre. Once in the town, follow the signs towards the southern beaches. There are parking areas nearby, often free, although they can fill up quickly in the height of summer. Our recommendation is to arrive early to secure a good spot.

On foot or by bicycle

For those staying in Alcossebre, the cove is perfectly accessible on foot or by bicycle, as it's part of the promenade that connects several beaches and coves in the area. It's a pleasant walk, especially at sunset, allowing you to enjoy the coastal views.

The sand and water

The particularity of Cala Mundina lies in the composition of its beach. Here you won't find miles of uninterrupted fine sand, but a charming mix of golden sand and small pebbles. This combination gives it a rustic, natural touch that we love. The sand is comfortable enough to lie on, and the pebbles on the shore are usually polished by the sea, making walking barefoot a pleasant experience. We recommend bringing water shoes if you have sensitive feet, especially for entering and exiting the water.

High season (July and August)

If you're looking for the full heat of summer, a more lively atmosphere, and all services running at full capacity, July and August are your months. However, they are also the months with the highest influx. Although Cala Mundina doesn't usually get as crowded as other larger beaches, you'll find more people and parking can be a challenge. It's the ideal time to enjoy the chiringuitos and the summer atmosphere.

Mid-season (May, June, September, October)

For us, the mid-season is the crown jewel. In May, June, September, and early October, the weather is still fabulous, the water temperatures are pleasant, and the number of people is much lower. You can enjoy the beach with enviable tranquility, you'll find parking without problems, and services are usually operational, although perhaps with reduced hours. It's perfect for those seeking relaxation and connection with nature.

Low season (November to April)
