How to Get to Playa de Sant Pol

Getting to Playa de Sant Pol is surprisingly easy, making it a very accessible option for a day trip or a longer vacation. We always value transport comfort, and here we find several options to suit different preferences.

By Car

If we choose to drive, the C-32 motorway is the main artery connecting us to Sant Pol de Mar. From Barcelona, the journey takes approximately 45-60 minutes, depending on traffic. Once in the municipality, the beach is well signposted. We find Parking options, both paid (especially near the more central beach area) and some free parking areas a bit further away. Our recommendation is to arrive early, especially in high season, to secure a good spot.

By Public Transport

For those who prefer public transport, the R1 line of Rodalies de Catalunya is the best option. The Sant Pol de Mar train station is just a few meters from the beach, making access incredibly convenient. The train offers a scenic journey along the coast, allowing us to enjoy views of the Mediterranean even before reaching our destination. It's a relaxed and eco-friendly way to reach the Sant Pol de Mar beach.

Other Means

We can also consider the bus, although frequencies are usually lower than the train. Several interurban lines connect Sant Pol de Mar with nearby municipalities. For the more adventurous or those living nearby, cycling can be an excellent way to get there, taking advantage of the bike lanes that run along part of the coast.

• Showers and Toilets/WC: Essential for our comfort, we find several Shower cabins distributed along the beach to wash off the salt and sand before heading home. The public Toilets/WC are clean and well-maintained, a very important point for us.
• Lifeguard Service: Safety is paramount, and Playa de Sant Pol has an active Lifeguard service during the bathing season. Lifeguards monitor the beach and are prepared to act in any eventuality, giving us extra peace of mind, especially if we're with children.
• Sunbeds and Umbrellas: For those who prefer not to carry their own equipment, there is the possibility of renting Sunbeds and umbrellas directly on the beach. It's a very convenient option to enjoy the sun and shade effortlessly.
