How to Get to Cala Bassa

Getting to Cala Bassa beach is relatively straightforward, and the transport options are varied, making it accessible to all types of travellers. We always recommend planning the visit, especially in high season, to avoid crowds and ensure a more relaxed experience.

By Car

The car is perhaps the most comfortable and popular option for getting to Cala Bassa. From San Antonio, the journey is short, just 15-20 minutes, following the road heading south. From Ibiza town, the trip is a bit longer, around 30-40 minutes. The beach has a fairly large paid car park, although in July and August it fills up easily. Our suggestion is to arrive early in the morning to secure a good spot and enjoy the cove before it gets crowded. There are some areas a bit further away where you can park for free, but they are usually in high demand.

By Bus

For those who prefer not to worry about parking, the bus is an excellent alternative. During the summer season, there are regular lines connecting Cala Bassa with San Antonio and other nearby points. It is an economical and sustainable option, ideal for forgetting about the car and enjoying the scenery. The schedules are usually frequent, but it is always advisable to check them in advance.

By Ferry or Boat

One of the most charming ways to get to Cala Bassa is by ferry or water taxi from the port of San Antonio. This option allows us to enjoy a pleasant boat ride along the coast, admiring the views from the sea before disembarking directly on the beach.
