How to get to Playa Centro

Getting to Playa Centro in Villajoyosa is really straightforward, one of its great advantages. If we come by car, the AP-7 motorway (exit 66) or the N-332 will bring us to the gates of Villajoyosa. Once in the town, signs for the centre or the port will guide us directly to the promenade and, consequently, to the beach. Finding parking can be a bit more challenging in high season, but there are several public parking areas, some paid, near the old town and the port.

For those who prefer public transport, the Alicante Metropolitan TRAM is a fantastic and scenic option. The L1 line connects Alicante with Denia, and Villajoyosa has several stops, with the 'La Vila Joiosa' station being the closest to the centre and the beach. From there, a short walk takes us directly to the sand. Furthermore, there are intercity bus lines connecting Villajoyosa with other nearby towns, making access to this wonderful Alicante beach even easier.

The sand and the water

Playa Centro welcomes us with fine, golden sand that stretches for almost one and a half kilometres. It's a delight to walk on it, feel its softness underfoot, and watch how the sun makes it shine. This texture makes it the perfect place to build sandcastles with the little ones, lay out a towel comfortably, or simply enjoy a relaxing stroll along the shore.

The Mediterranean waters in this area are, in general, crystal clear and calm, with a gentle swell that makes them ideal for swimming. The entry into the sea is gradual, which provides great safety, especially for families with children or people with reduced mobility. We have been able to verify the excellent water quality, which year after year earns it the prestigious Blue Flag, a distinction that guarantees not only cleanliness but also the provision of services and environmental management. Diving into these waters is a purely Mediterranean, refreshing, and revitalising experience.

Services and facilities

One of the great attractions of Playa Centro is its complete range of services, designed to make our stay as comfortable and pleasant as possible. As an urban beach, it boasts exceptional infrastructure covering all the needs of the modern bather. We highlight the constant presence of lifeguards, who watch over our safety throughout the bathing season, giving us great peace of mind, especially if we're with children.

Best time to visit

We believe that Playa Centro in Villajoyosa is a destination that can be enjoyed for much of the year, but there are times that undoubtedly have a special charm. For lovers of sun and swimming, the months of June, July, and August are ideal, as temperatures are high and the water is at its warmest. However, this is also when the beach is most crowded, especially on weekends. If we're looking for a livelier atmosphere, with the typical summer bustle, this is the perfect time for us.

If we prefer tranquillity and milder temperatures, we highly recommend spring (April, May) and early autumn (September, October). During these months, the weather is still fabulous for enjoying the beach, the sun warms pleasantly, and the number of visitors decreases considerably.
