How to Get to Playa de Covas

Getting to Playa de Covas is, fortunately, quite straightforward, making it an accessible destination for everyone. If we come by car from other parts of Galicia or Spain, the most common route is to take the AP-9 to Ferrol and, once there, follow the signs towards the coast and the Covas area. The signage is clear and will guide us without problems to our destination. The journey from Ferrol city is short, just 10-15 minutes by car, allowing us to easily combine a cultural visit to the city with a beach day.

For those who prefer public transport, the city of Ferrol has bus lines connecting the urban center with the Covas area, especially during the summer season. It's a comfortable and economical option that lets us forget about parking and enjoy the scenery along the way. Once in Covas, the beach is easily accessible on foot from the bus stops. If we choose to drive, the beach has nearby parking areas, both free and paid, making it easier to find a spot for our vehicle, although in high season it's advisable to arrive early to secure a good place.

The Sand and Water

One of the aspects that most captivates us about Playa de Covas is, without a doubt, its fine golden sand. When we step on it, we feel that characteristic softness that invites us to walk barefoot along its extensive shoreline. • Sun Umbrellas and Loungers: Although we can always bring our own, there's the option to rent sun umbrellas and loungers, which saves us from carrying them and allows us to travel lighter.
