The beach is located southeast of Santiago city, about 20-30 kilometers away, which translates to a trip of approximately 30 to 45 minutes, depending on the means of transport and road conditions.

By Private Car or Taxi

For us, the most comfortable and flexible option is renting a car or taking a taxi. If we choose a taxi, it's easy to find one in downtown Santiago de Cuba. It's advisable to negotiate the round-trip price with the driver before starting the journey to avoid surprises. Many local taxi drivers know the route well and will be happy to take us to this paradise. If we decide to drive, the road to Playa Daiquirí is generally in good condition, although we must always be alert for possible potholes or detours. Signage can be a bit limited in some areas, so having a map or using GPS (if we have access) is a good idea. The route goes along the Carretera del Morro, which then becomes a coastal road, offering us unforgettable landscapes.

Public Transport

If we prefer a more local and economical experience, there are public transport options, although they are usually less frequent and may require more time. We can ask at the bus terminal or locals about the guaguas (buses) heading towards the Baconao area or that pass near Daiquirí.
