How to Get to Playa de Žnjan

Getting to Playa de Žnjan from Split's city center is surprisingly easy, making it a very accessible option for any type of traveler. We always value comfort, and Žnjan excels in this aspect.

By Car

If you're traveling by car, the beach is only about 15-20 minutes from the city center, depending on traffic. The route is simple and well-signposted. The best thing about Žnjan is that it has extensive parking areas, which is a relief, especially during the summer months when other beaches can be a challenge. Although parking can fill up during peak hours, the beach's expanse offers multiple options to find a spot. We recommend arriving early to secure a good spot and avoid crowds.

Public Transport

For those who prefer to leave the car aside, public transport is an excellent alternative. Several local bus lines connect Split's center with Playa de Žnjan. The most common lines that will take you directly there are numbers 8 and 15. The buses are frequent, clean, and offer an economical way to get there. The stop is very close to the beach, minimizing the walk with all your beach gear. It's an option we often use to get around Split and find it very efficient.

Taxi or Ride-Hailing

Of course, you always have the option of taking a taxi or using ride-hailing services like Uber or Bolt, which are very popular in Split. This is the most comfortable and fastest option, ideal if you're traveling with a lot of luggage or simply want an uncomplicated journey to the seashore. The cost is reasonable and they'll drop you right where you want to start your day at the Split-Dalmatia beach.

On Foot or by Bicycle

For the more active, and if you're staying nearby, Playa de Žnjan is accessible on foot or by bicycle. There's a pleasant promenade that connects much of Split's coastline, and Žnjan is a key point on this route. It's a fantastic way to enjoy the scenery and get some exercise before relaxing under the sun.

That said, we strongly advise bringing water shoes or sandals to protect your feet, especially if you're sensitive or if children will be playing at the shore. It's a small investment that will make your experience much more comfortable!

The water temperature in summer is very pleasant, generally between 22°C and 26°C, perfect for cooling off from the sun's heat.
