- By car: The journey takes about 4-5 hours via Route 32, a scenic but winding road. We recommend driving with caution. Once in Limón, follow the coastal road south, passing through Cahuita and Puerto Viejo until Punta Uva.
- Bus: The MEPE company offers direct services from San José to Puerto Viejo (4-5 hours). From Puerto Viejo, you can take a taxi, a local bus, or rent a bicycle to get to Playa Punta Uva.
- Domestic flight: There are flights from San José (SJO) to Limón airport (LIO). From there, take a taxi or bus to Puerto Viejo and then to Punta Uva.
From Puerto Viejo de Talamanca
